Am I eligible for an OWN IT home?
We know that buying your first home is a massive step. Whether you're buying on your own or teaming up with your partner, siblings or wider family, the OWN IT programme is designed to help qualifying households onto the property ladder.
✅ I meet the household income criteria
To take part in the programme, whānau must earn a household income between $85,000 - $150,000 per year.
Households with multiple related family units or larger whānau with 6+ members living together must earn a combined income between $85,000 - $205,000 per year.
✅ I am a first home buyer
The OWN IT programme aims to provide a way for those who have never owned a property before to take their first step onto the property ladder.
✅ I am a New Zealand citizen or resident
To be eligible for the OWN IT programme, it is required that the main applicant is either a New Zealand citizen, or a New Zealand resident.
✅ I want to make Tāmaki my home
Our focus is on building homes in the vibrant community of Tāmaki - a neighbourhood of Auckland made up of three suburbs; Glen Innes, Point England and Panmure.
