This is a four day programme for people aged 17-25. We can give you the skills and confidence to help you to find a good job and start your career. We mentor you as you job hunt and even after you are employed to help you get settled in.
This is a two day programme for people aged over 25. Whether you are a parent or were previously caring for a loved one; this programme is for anyone returning to work after a break. Getting back into work can be a bit scary, especially if you’re not sure what jobs are available for people with your skills. We find sometimes people just need a bit of guidance to know they’re on the right track.
If you’re looking for a new job with us, we can help you to get your driver licence. We’ve helped over 500 Tāmaki locals get their driver licence so far. You can join a 2.5 - 3 day driving theory course with us to help you get ready to sit your learner licence test. We can also provide practical driving lessons if you already have your learner’s licence. Email us if you're interested.
There are many types of apprenticeships available in areas like building, plumbing, electrical, and more. They allow you to get a qualification for free, while learning on the job. You can see a full list of apprenticeships available here. If you’re interested in starting an apprenticeship, we can help. We can give you advice about how the apprenticeship process works, and let you know about financial help you can get. We can also help you meet employers.
The Government offers free qualifications and apprenticeship training in areas such as construction, engineering, road transport and community support. You can see the full list of courses here. Work and Income can also offer funding support for eligible apprentices through Mana in Mahi. We can help you apply for these courses and funding support.
